History of Spoilage and Rot

When Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) was staying in the plain of Tih with six hundred thousand Israelites, Allah sent down two meals from heaven to feed them.

One was named Mann and the other was named Salva. The manna was just like a white honey or white honey that rained down from the sky like rain every day and the salwa were ripe quails that came down from the sky with the south wind.

The Almighty, while counting His blessings on the Children of Israel, said in the Holy Qur'an: Translation: And He sent down upon you manna and salwa. Eat and never store it for tomorrow. But some weak-minded people began to fear that if one day Man and Salwa did not come down, we would starve to death in this barren, desolate field. So they hid something and kept it for tomorrow. The disobedience of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) spread such misfortune that all the people who had gathered for tomorrow rotted and stopped coming down for the future. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that if it were not for the Children of Israel, the food would never have gone bad and the meat would not have rotted. Otherwise, before that, the food would not spoil and the meat would not rot
